The Colourful Times is my monthly roundup to see off those beige blues. It’s for readers who appreciate a story with texture, a touch of irony, and a healthy dose of curiosity. So, let me entertain you.

Feature story & my latest articles/blogs all in one-convenient package—fresh humorous observations on life today, from deactivating "hibernation mode" to exploring “polcules” and "looksmaxxing", asking whether you should dress your age—think itsy bitsy bikinis—to generally navigating the modern world’s various curve balls.

Exclusive to The Colourful Times

Dispatches from the Keyboard

Exclusive, first-look snippets from my upcoming memoir, Curve Balls, Ceilidhs and Wild Mountain Thyme about my youth and childhood in the Scottish Highlands.

Fabulous Frew the Shrew

Cartoon heroine, Frew, demonstrates how to teeter precariously through in massive heels, bling and the "full Pantone". She's very colourful ... and visible ... and opinionated.

The Geek Zone

A monthly rummage around in the word weeds. The Geek Zone scratches the curiosity itch by takin on the burning questions like, what is a "sand boy" and why is he happy?

My Monthly Top Survival Tip—I leave no stone unturned in my quest to help you find your "best life".

The Final Splash—some high notes to end on including memes, vids, colourful people, things I wish I’d said, and recommendations.

Since I published Never Succumb To Beige, people have asked me, "What's this beige thing, and how do we avoid it?" After a moment, some add, "Anyway, I like beige; What's your problem?"

Never succumbing to beige is just a metaphor for staying visible and confident, whatever curve balls life chucks your way.

So I've put together this little Guide to Colourful Living, drawing on some of the tactics I've garnered over the years to help leave the shadows of invisibility in a pile at the door and stay vibrantly and visibly who I am.

PS For people who are beige fans, don't worry, I've included "B Is For Beige If You Want To Be".
